The Benahavis Trail

The Benahavis Tour visits the castle of Montemayor. Built in the 10th century, part of the original walls still stand along with the Torre de la Reina. From the site you can marvel at the amazing views west to Gibraltar and Morrocco and east to Marbella and La Zagaleta. We also visit an abandoned farmhouse full of historic features with similar stunning views. Bring your swimmers as we will drive you to the secret rockpools along the Guadalmina River in the Sierra Bermeja, a volcanic mountain range known for forests of Spanish fir trees, hiking trails and winding off-road tracks leading to panoramic views.
